So excited to be sharing this with you guys. I’m the new brand ambassador for vegan watch company Votch, and it’s probably the biggest accomplishment of this blog so far!
This comes with a funny story actually. I discovered Votch via Instagram, and I remember the first time I saw the watches. I was like: “Woah, this looks like a Cluse but it’s vegan!! OH-MAA-GOOD”. I tried then to purchase one of the watches, but somehow my card declined the purchase. I know it was fate though. It really was, because the next day, Laura Stageman, the founder, contacted me to know whether I’d like to pose for the new collection. Needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity and I was so excited it was hard to calm down. Think me jumping around like crazy and calling my mother to explain what just happened!
Let me tell you a little bit about Votch and their story. Laura Stageman launched the brand only in August 2016, after she found it was difficult to find 100% cruelty-free and vegan watches in the market. Votch was then launched with one focus in mind: to create modern, stylish designs that were respectful towards the animals and the environment. Laura, along with her lovely and talented husband Simon and their little pooch Rolo, aka the Guardian of Votch. Soon enough, the company won the PETA awards for Best Vegan Watches, and all of their creations were sold out by Christmas 2016.
On top of everything, just in case the company wasn’t perfect enough, they give away 10% of the benefits to a charity every three months.
As you can imagine, it is important for me to work with companies that have a purpose I align with. Not only do we both care about animal welfare, but the fact that they give money to charities, like me, made me respect this company at the deepest level. As per the watches, I love mine in the colour “Black and Gold”, because it’s probably the most classic one and I want to wear mine everyday until it falls apart.
