Have you heard of Petit Vour ?
From now onwards I am collaborating with them to review their wonderful Beauty Box every month! Petit Vour is the luxury destination for cruelty beauty and lifestyle. Every beautiful thing in the Petit Vour Beauty Box is expert-vetted and free of animal testing, animal ingredients and harmful toxins, for the easiest transition to cruelty-free beauty!
I will be receiving this beautiful pink box every month to review and share my thoughts with you. I was hoping to do more beauty-related blogposts in 2018 and I felt this was a great way to incorporate that already. Who is stoked about this as much as I am?
Let’s talk about this vegan beauty subscription box that is taking the market by storm.
How It Works
Petit Vour is an American website that offers vegan beauty and lifestyle products. With this subscription box you can elevate or recreate your beauty routine with a subscription to Petit Vour‘s luxury-curated, cruelty-free beauty box. Each month you’ll receive 4 products ($45-$60 value) of non-toxic and plant-based beauty, curated to your own beauty profile. Each box comes with a detailed card detailing the items included, and the prices of the full-size products. And on the cover there is a cute print!
How Much Is It?
If you live in the US: $18/monthly (cancel anytime) OR $180/yearly ($15/month)
If you live in Canada: $23/monthly (cancel anytime) OR $240/yearly ($20/month)
If you live in the Rest of the World: $25/monthly (cancel anytime) OR $264/yearly ($22/month)
December Box
In this month’s beauty box, I received:
Province Apothecary Full Brow Serum
In the product description, it says “The Full Brow serum is specifically blended with powerful and active pure botanical extracts and anti-oxidants to help fortify hair and encourage fuller-looking brows. The nutritive blend of Organic Castor Seed Oil and Coffee Extract targets hair follicles, while Organic Rosemary Leaf has been used for centuries to improve hair luster and promote the appearance of richer brows. ”
I have been using it for a couple of days but, to be honest, my eyebrows are already quite thick and bushy so this is not the kind of product I would have purchased myself. However, you can definitely tell the base is castor oil and the scent of rosemary and lavender extracts! Good brand discovery.
Odacite Synergie Immediate Skin Perfecting Beauty Masque
I thought this was some sort of sheet mask. It’s not. It’s a powder! I mixed the entire sachet with some warm water and then used a mask brush to put it all over my face. Thankfully this mask did not tickle or burn my skin (as I have very sensitive skin) and it did not smell funny either. I realised I out a bit too much water and had to use the entire package. So I split it with my mother as I didn’t want it to go to waste! I left it for about 15min and it hardened quite a bit, but then I removed it very easily and I felt like my skin was smoother and with all deep dirt removed. I still prefer wet masks than powders, but overall it was a very nice experience!
Juice Beauty Phyto-Pigments Ultra-Natural Mascara
I’ve been using it for the past couple of days and I love it! I thought I was inseparable from the Lily Lolo Mascara but this one is also wonderful. I like the fact that it has organic ingredients, and the spiral wand. I have been wearing mine for long days so I did see a bit of flakiness by the end of the day, but not much. I would totally buy this as my next mascara!
True Moringa Lip Whip in ‘Truth’
I tend to have very dry lips all year long, and I should be putting lip balm more often than I’d like to admit. This brand seems to focus on Moringa oil, which is “rich in zeatin, known for stimulating cell division, growth, and delaying ageing of cells. Moringa is packed with crucial fatty acids and antioxidants that the fight free radicals that cause premature ageing.” This lip balm has been blended with castor oil, cocoa butter and moringa penetrate deeply into the skin and replenish essential animo acids and nutrients. Expect a bit of colour on the lips but not much though. However I like the luxurious feel of the packaging, the fact that it’s taste and scent-free and how it easily glides onto the lips.
My absolute favourite item in the box and great end-of-year discovery! During this time of the year, my skin gets very dull, dry and porous. I have very sensitive skin and I don’t like to use heavy creams that will clog my pores. I usually avoid shea butter and coconut oil on my face as they tend to be too much for my skin.
However, this cream from Ursa Major was recommended to me by Jasmine, the Marketing Manager of Petit Vour. It’s basically an intensely hydrating yet fast-absorbing face cream that provides deep hydration and nourishment to soothe and replenish weary skin. Perfect for winter! I’ve been using it at night as it’s also a “wrinkle-busting” cream apparently! Works great for all skin types too.
- Delivers intense hydration without feeling heavy
- Helps combat the visible signs of aging
- Reduces the appearance of redness and uneven skin tone
- Soothes irritation from dryness and exposure to the elements
- Works for all skin types, especially dry, sensitive or neglected skin
Aroma: Neroli, sandalwood and a touch of sour rose anchored with fresh-soaked earth.
Verdict: This box is worth $54, I think it’s great for a $16 beauty box! I have fallen in love with the Ursa Major Golden Hour Moisturiser, I need to get a full-size one for myself and my mother (who is my biggest fan and the first one to try all the samples I receive!). I highly recommend trying this one!
If you subscribe to the Petit Vour Beauty Box, you get a free gift with any full-size purchase and any non-subscription purchase gives 20% back in reward points. So you are always wining! Also, if you review the products inside the box they’ll add $1 per product reviewed, so $5 to shop at Petit Vour next time.
Let me know if you end up subscribing to this and if you’ve already tried any of these. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
With love,
