January Box

In this month’s beauty box, I received:

Andalou Naturals Instant Hydro Serum Facial Mask

This product is one of the newest additions to the Petit Vour website. This Brightening Hydro Serum is enriched with fruit stem cell complex, vitamin C, and turmeric. It instantly hydrates and replenishes dull skin (like mine) and uplifts it to make it tighter, brighter and give a more luminous complexion. I used it at night with the fibre side on my face and let it relax for 20min whilst doing emails. Then I removed it and massaged the remaining serum for the night. I felt my skin a little more tanned and a bit more hydrated, so I recommend using this one again if you’re looking for a vitamin-C rich mask!

Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Revitalising Face Oil

By far the best discovery of the box and one of my January favourites, which you’d know already if you follow me on YouTube! I fell in love with the size of it (perfect for travelling!) but also how amazing it’s made my skin look this month. The main ingredient is Peach Kernel Oil, which is known for being fast-absorbing and great for sensitive/dry skin. I also contains jojoba oil, whose composition is most similar to skin sebum too! However it also contains the wonderful organic essential oils of rose, sandalwood, patchouli, and frankincense. Gorgeous smell, feels super luxurious and I’m so happy to have discovered such a little gem! I use mine at night after cleansing and toning, then followed by night cream for some much needed extra hydration.

We Love Eyes Eyelid & Eyelash Foaming Cleanser

Normally I just use a cotton pad, apply some make up remover and just remove my make up before taking a shower. Then I follow with a not-too-foamy cleanser and I’m good to go. However this product has been particularly designed for the eye area, which is great because I normally wear eyeshadow, eye pencil and mascara. I have been using it a bit but a the moment I haven quite fallen in love with it yet. I will keep on using it and see how I feel about it. Maybe I’d try the oil instead next time too!

K Voss Cinnamon Lip Plumper

I was looking forward to this one but I thought it was a bit disappointing. As you may have read from my previous review, I tend to have very dry lips and I’m always looking for the perfect lip balm. As this one contains coconut and almond oil, I  thought it would be a perfect match for me. Yet the powerful cinnamon oil (which I know is amazing for its anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties) made my lips very hot and spicy and so I had to take it off the minute I put it on. I felt the power was too strong for my lips and did not find the experience enjoyable for me. I think this balm activates on contact, so if you do like your cinnamon make sure to use just a tiny bit!

This box is worth $58.20, which is amazing for only $16. Of this beauty box I am absolutely repurchasing the Aromatherapy Associates Hydrating Revitalising Face Oil, which has been making my skin glow lately. I definitely recommend trying this product, even if it’s just in it’s small size.

If you subscribe to the Petit Vour Beauty Box, you get a free gift with any full-size purchase and any non-subscription purchase gives 20% back in reward points. So you are always wining! Also, if you review the products inside the box they’ll add $1 per product reviewed, so $5 to shop at Petit Vour next time.
